FISH
December 3rd 2011, 7.30pm The East Quay
The former Marillion frontman, celebrates 30 years as one of this country’s most charismatic performers, with stripped down acoustic versions of songs from throughout his career.
A powerful presence on, and off, stage, Fish begins this tour having done more than 100 shows in a format which was originally intended to be a reintroduction to live work, but which has captured the imagination of fans and taken him across Europe collecting rave reviews.
Expect drama, comedy and a whole load of brilliant songs including some new material along with “Just Good Friends”, “A Gentleman’s Excuse me” and the epic “Vigil” from the solo years as well as Marillion classics such as “Lavender” and, of course, “Kayleigh”.
“Fish prowls the stage, a sinister and brooding figure. Dynamic and powerful, he roars out the
lyrics with undiluted passion, at all times in total control of the crowd……….great music, entertainment, passion and lyrics that make you stop and think” Edinburgh Evening News
“…being at one of his gigs is like being entertained by a boisterous host at a particularly loud private party” Mojo
