THE EAST QUAY
Incredibly, it was The Beat’s first album that spawned the hits “Tears of a Clown”, “Mirror in The Bathroom”, “Hands off….She’s Mine” AND “Can’t Get used to Losing You”. After 3 platinum albums and having built a fantastic live reputation across the world, The Beat disbanded at the height of their fame.
Following numerous offers, they returned to the live stage in 2003 with a sell out at The Royal Festival Hall. Described by Q magazine as a
“brilliant, uplifting live act with songs that sound as fresh today as they did 30 years ago…” The Beat promise Whitstable a blistering night of Ska classics.
