AUTUMN SERIES 2013: CARAVAN Sat November 23rd

It is our absolute pleasure to be able to announce that WhitLive presents the legendary CARAVAN in an exclusive Whitstable show at The East Quay on Saturday November 23rd.

Formed in the late 60s, Caravan were the leading lights of our very own Canterbury Scene. They quickly achieved cult status and still have a huge and loyal international following. Described by NME as the creators of ‘Superior pop music, full of taste, craftsmanship and hard work’, you can expect quirky jazz riddled psychedelic rock played by virtuoso musicians.

Having disbanded and reformed on numerous occasions, CARAVAN, with their unique quintessentially English sound, at last make a very welcome return to Kent following a sold out South Bank show earlier this year.

Tickets are £17.50 and available online here and in person at Gatefield Sounds in Whitstable and Herne Bay, and Canterbury Rock in Canterbury.

AUTUMN SERIES 2013: Glenn Tilbrook Fri November 8th

The SQUEEZE frontman live with solo tunes and the classic hits at The East Quay, Whitstable.

If you have seen him before then you KNOW what a great show this is going to be. If you haven’t yet had the pleasure of seeing Glenn live, you are in for a real treat.

A man cast from the same sacred mould as other classic British songwriters such as Ray Davies and Elvis Costello, Tilbrook’s passion and enthusiasm are contagious. Expect him to deliver a blistering, irrefutable, unrestrained, unpretentious show of joie de vivre to an ecstatic audience.

With writing partner Chris Difford, he penned Squeeze’s numerous hits, including Up The Junction, Cool For Cats and Tempted and continues to make melodic power pop that’s buoyant, brainy and fun…Live, Tilbrook is loose, funny and unpredictable. This is one not to miss.

“Sitting at the top of the heap of our best living songwriters, Tilbrook gives the audience his all, and they love it” THE TIMES
